A Personal Anthology summer special, and a summer break
Dear subscribers.
Summer is upon us, and this means two things: firstly, a two-month break for A Personal Anthology, while we all hopefully find somewhere quiet to relax and read and unfix the bindweed of breaking and broken news from our poor, battered synapses.
And secondly, a collaborative holiday special of the mailout, featuring great short stories either set over the summer months – on holiday or not – or that you think would be ideal for reading on holiday: by the beach or the pool or on the terrace of that delicious little cafe up the steep, cobbled back street towards the citadel with the stray cats that lie stretched out and panting in the shrinking shade, or in your back garden, with fewer insects buzzing around your face than you remember. Où indeed sont les guêpes d'antant?
But! For this special edition to work, we need your contributions and suggestions.
So! If you have contributed to A Personal Anthology before, or if you have not, we want your suggestion. Please get in touch with a suggested short story, and a paragraph introducing it for our readers. You know the drill. It can be a story we've had before, or a story we haven't, a writer we've had before, or one that we haven't. All are welcome. Ideally I would like to send this special edition of the letter out next week, so if you can get something to me by the end of this week - Friday 28th June, that would be superb. The story picked, and a paragraph. That's all it takes. You're already halfway to your bookshelves – see, that's how easy it is!
And A Personal Anthology will be take in full effect in September, with some great contributors already lined up, and more European specials as well.
If you like A Personal Anthology, tell your friends. The more subscribers, the better. And remember to check out the fully searchable website https://apersonalanthology.com.
All the best
