Summer break, call for submissions and a special edition
Dear subscriber.
Many thanks for your continued interest in A Personal Anthology. It's been great fun to run this project, which began in September last year. Since then we have had 40 guest editors given the opportunity to edit their own dream anthology of short stories. I now plan to call a two-month hiatus during July and August, and restart in September. During this time I'll send a couple of recaps introducing new subscribers to some of the early contributors they may have missed, but I'd like to end with a special summer edition, featuring Summer Stories - either stories set on summer holidays, or that would be great to read on summer holidays.
The call goes out to previous contributors and subscribers, so if you have an idea for a story, please do let me know as soon as possible. The special edition will be going out NEXT FRIDAY, 29th June, so all ideas gratefully received. Just email me to say you'll be able to get something to me by Thursday evening, and we'll have us a tiny letter.
And of course I'm now on the lookout for contributors for September onwards, so if you would like to take part, then just let me know at jonathangibbs@mail.com. Follow the format of previous entries: writer, title, publication details and link to online version if applicable, plus a paragraph saying why you love the story, where you came it across, and what it means to you.
And don't forget to tell your friends to sign up.
And if you don't already subscribe, why not check out Thomas Morris's TinyLetter A Small Good Thing and Helen McClory's The Unsung Letter.
All the best
Jonathan
